We invite you to celebrate Maslyana in Tsarske Selo. During the week from February 24 to March 1, the program promises to be full. Folk rituals, the most delicious pancakes, children’s workshops, and these are not all the fun we have prepared for you.
It is a happy occasion to meet Maslyana in the atmosphere of Cossack color, enjoying the art of creative teams, and to join the national traditions of celebration.
Every day we will dive into customs and learn how our ancestors celebrated the last week before Lent.
In the celebration program:
Monday (24.02) – in the evening we will make a straw doll – the main symbol of the holiday.
Tuesday (25.02) – On this day, single boys and girls are actively engaged in the search for the second half, so we will have a real evening where we will look for the perfect pair.
Wednesday (26.02) – Music program is waiting for you.
Thursday (27.02) – In the evening we will hold a master class for adults and children with braiding.
Friday (28.02) – At 7:30 pm there will be a speed pancake contest.
Saturday (29.02) – In the main hall, cooks will prepare pancakes, and for children we will hold a master class for decorating them. On this day we will spend the winter and meet the spring. Throughout the day we will serve pancakes.
Sunday (1.03) – on the first day of spring, we will continue to prepare pancakes in the main hall, and a kid’s workshop will be waiting for them to decorate them.
Special menu of pancakes with 14 different toppings.
Live music will be played every night from 7:00 PM.
